Normally one puts a Tariff on EXPORTS, if you want the other Countries to pay for items that THEY IMPORT. If placed on IMPORTS to USA, the USA Citizens pay for the Trade Tariff, and the other Countries DO NOT. Hence the President’s intentions are defeated by his own decree.

What I would do if I owned Tik-Tok ©M7C 2025
I would allow a Free Service and a Paid Subscription Service. The Paid Subscription Service would be $5 a month per user, and recommended Videos would be paid in units of Tik Tok Crypto-currency which would be sold or redeemed in a Crypto currency market and/or Tik Tok Store to sell related marketing merchandise (custom shirts, sports gear, or other items with logo of the user). The Free Service would not compensate for recommended videos or earn Crypto-Currency. Also anything that violates Copyrights would revert [the video] to a Free Service in case of accidental infringement or in cases of Archival (the preservation of old videos). Users would have the option of having an account that is non-profit or charity that donates the Tik Tok Crypto-currency it earns. Persons with Millions of Followers would be earning income by recommended videos, at one unit per recommendation. The value of the Crypto-currency will be set at market rate. Profits will come from the subscriptions, merchandise in online Tik Tok Stores, and sales of Tik Tok Crypto-currency.
Tik Tok is looking for a buyer outside of China. It may be extended by 90-days according to POTUS 47 after Sunday January 19, 2025. The value is estimated at $100b to $200b USD. I have never used the company website.

A Plutocracy is a form of Government where the wealthy and affluent govern the people. In this Govt. there are No Citizen Income Taxes, allowing the people to retain their earned money. This prevents poverty and homelessness. Industrial Taxes are 15% of all profits. Sales Tax is 5% of all public sales. Exports are taxed at 5% of value. The Wealth Cap (Tax) is set at $10Billion; anything over that allows the businessmen to retire and work for the Government as an officer. All Government officers work as Volunteers, so no money is influential (prevents bribes or corruption). Surplus revenue is given to the Treasury, automatically. Currency value is based either on prosperity or happiness of the citizens. Govt. work is motivation for labor, and there is a Business Morality Code for workers that prevent crimes.
