A glass of water

You are told that a glass of unidentified liquid is Vodka. You are instructed to drink it. After a while your reactions are slowed, and your speech is somewhat slurred. Thoughts are not clear. You ask if what you are drinking really is Vodka, a Russian alcoholic beverage which is clear and almost flavorless. Then maybe it is something else. You ask if it is poison. Then your mind realizes it could be. So your body contorts, and you start to panic. Your mind is racing, your pulse increases, you experience sweating or having chills, depending on the poison you are inflicted with, even a fever is possible. Then you look at other people whom are drinking the same concoction. They are smiling, like this is a great Elixir that cures all disease or gives you great physical strength or endurance. Or maybe it grants you Psychic Powers like Telepathy or Clairvoyance. Or maybe it cures Mental and Physical illnesses, removes external voices or prevents fear. Whatever you are told matters little. You are drinking water. This is an experiment in the power of belief. Whatever you were told was so believable that it caused your body to react to whatever nonsense you were given, and changed elements within you. Your Mind has the ability to cure illness, give you powers, making you believe you are poisoned, or strong, or brave. You need to adjust to how it reacts to information. This is Magical. This is built-in Mental Technology. Cheers!
