From "King Tutankhamon's Stalker" by Horus Michael (Copyright 2023):
Chapter 1: 3,300 years ago
Some 3,300 years had passed since the King last encroached upon the Ka Chapel of this tomb, its occupant buried alive during a rare Theban earthquake,
followed by flash floods. She was not unknown to him. It was a
forbidden love; she was a Priestess of Nephthys, who longed to caress
his bronzed shoulders from the scorching afternoon Aton. She had
violated the Temple rules: No one was to touch the King or their role in
the sanctuary was forfeit. Despite this stern rebuke by the High
Priest, she persisted… And here was the reward for her obsession,
trapped inside a limestone tomb for all time.

This is from the First Page of my Novel "King Tutankhamon's Stalker" by Horus Michael in 2023.
Now Pharaoh Tutankhamon had issues with the Hittite Empire and Modern Turkey exists in Hittite and Syrian regions. So if his Ka Spirit read the book or approved it, this is my explanation for the devastating EQ in the region. (Tut's Ka is an "angry" Egyptian Deity).
