When a Politician claims Sovereign Immunity it applies during the life of that office, and not necessarily before. If a future Politician in his remote past had an erotic affair with a teenager, he couldn’t be charged with rape afterwards because he now has Sovereign Immunity. If a close friend offered to cover up the affair and was later prosecuted for Sex Trafficking, the close friend could use the affair to exonerate himself. The blame would be on the now Politician. So the Politician would want to silence the close friend and make it look like a self-inflicted wound, saying he died by suicide in prison. The story would remain buried. Suppose the Media finds the buried story and accuses the Politician of a crime. The Politician who now has Sovereign Immunity cannot be prosecuted.
The American System of Government has flaws. The flaws are relatively recent. These flaws expose weaknesses in what is allowed by the 3 Branches of Government, be it a corrupt Judicial, Executive or Legislature. Congressmen have been accused of corruption (taking bribes in gold), Judges of Sex Crimes, and the Executive for Abuses of Power.
The American System needs to be repaired to correct these imbalances. Trust in Govt. is very low in 2025 CE. The Citizens need to be educated by an independent News Group who is not influenced by social or financial gain. Then they can decide on social issues and correct these flaws.
