It is good to invest in Real Estate, Gold, Silver, and other commodities in case of Hyper-Inflation. You wouldn't want to be stuck with Hundreds of Billions of Dollars and not spend any of it. The Kingdom of Niihau, UEIR, currency (the Kahelelani or Shell Currency) is supported by Pupu shells found in Niihau and other islands, also by Precious Metals and the real estate of its Government. Paper Money is basically Credit in paper form; like the plastic card version.
As traditional Pharaohs own all of the country's assets -- i.e. YOU -- they own everything purchased on Credit or National Currency. They also decide where to distribute the assets in Government.
The Money recirculates until absorbed. Other currencies (UEIR Barternotes, or Time Dollars) are valid in hard times, using people skills in place of Credit Notes.
