If Rep. George Santos is a Con-Man Politician, why is he still in office?
The truth is they are embarrassed that he was caught. Most American Politicians say whatever the people want to hear. They twist words around their adversaries to direct traffic to their cause. Whatever idea that happens to be popular at the time is fodder for Politics.
We could of course make an Autocrat Political Party. Kings do not have to worry about convincing the public about a cause that is remedied by Edict or Rubber-stamping it (i.e. Executive Orders). Kings (Pharaohs) are not evil enough to be called con-men or any expletive of that nature. Pharaohs respect what the Gods ordain them to be, and public opinion though important is not twisted around Ma’at for Political gain, as in elections. Pharaohs have a term limit in the form of Jubilees (every 10 to 30 years). This is something USA can learn from.
