Reducing Crime, Homelessness, and Theft in California...

How to cure Homelessness and Crime in California ©M7C 2024

First, remove all Property Taxes in proposed legislation in Elections.

People cannot afford to live in the State of California with increases to Property Taxes, for Residences and Businesses.  The Cost of Living is too high.  This causes people to be Homeless and lose their Businesses in Cities with high Property Taxes.

Proposed Legislation that increase Property Taxes occur in every election and people who do not read the Fine Print vote for them, because they are being duped into voting for emotional concerns (“For the Children”, “For the Schools/School upgrades or improvements,” etc.).  The proposed Bills say they are paid with by Bonds, but the Fine Print says an increase in Levies or Taxes per amount of assessed values of the Property.

Cities like Oakland CA and local Cities near Oakland are experiencing an increase in Crime, Mostly Theft related.  People are trying to survive.  This reduces employment because businesses are being scared away.

Funding for Homelessness or low income housing is paid by Tax increases.  If one reduces the main issue, there will be no Homeless.   The majority of Homeless in San Francisco, CA are in a category of “Drug users” or “Mentally Ill.”   Drug Users are addicts to expensive street drugs or prescription pain medicine.  The Mentally Ill cannot afford to live in residences because of Property Taxes, and do not have employment because they are Disabled.  City Homeless Bureaus try to “give jobs to the Mentally Ill” in Homelessness Funds, which does not work.  Their Social Security has a limited amount allowed per month; this was resolved with the ABLE Accounts in some States, which allows Funds to be used for their benefit.

Once Property Taxes are eliminated in the State, you will see a significant decrease in Crime, Poverty and Homelessness.  Hawaii and other States have less Property Taxes if any.  Homeless from California are sometimes sent to Hawaii to live on the beaches, which are all Public.
