Common Scams

Common Scammers:
If you receive a phone call and do not know where it is from, DO NOT give out information! People are looking you up on the Internet or Public Records for data in Identity Theft or other crimes, such as Fraud or Stalking.  A number of calls of late I know of include:

1. PC Solutions - "Your Firewall and Network Password have been compromised." They want access to your computer to steal information or give you Malware and then blackmail you to resolve it.
2. Local Contractors - They say they want work but when they visit your home their prices are way too expensive and unrealistic. 
3. Senior Health - They call you when researching your Health Care Provider, such as Medicare.  If you are not elderly this is a Red Flag.  There is such a thing as Medicare Fraud.
