Leave the Human In The Story... for now.

In high school Literature class, I learned how to "keep readers in a story," by retaining the belief in characters and events for the reader's perception. Films do this and the effect lasts about 10 minutes to ADULTS; this lasts a lifetime for BELIEVERS. Star Wars, Harry Potter, Star Trek, Batman, etc. all are good stories and the effect they have lasts a long time. But, we as a society must control these effects when taken to an extreme. In the Middle East their popular Story is the Quran / Koran (Arabic word for BOOK) or Bible. It is a story, a telling of popular events with larger than life or legendary characters. IT IS NOT REAL, yet people cling to it because they LACK MATURITY. Adults are non-believers because they are mature adults, and no longer require the training or study presented when they were children. If they are psychic and the goal of the training was development (as with prayer effects), then they are adults. If they are moral, then they are adults. If they are immoral, then they need Religion until they are moral. Characters from stories serve this purpose. They may not be real, but they are there.
