On Roman Crucifixions

The Romans acquired the idea of Crucifixion from the Egyptians.

Crucifixion was a form of Torture not execution. Being nailed to a cross beam did not touch any vital organs, just bones.  The beams were mostly connected -- four verticals to three horizontals; when you cut them down from this grid only then does it resemble a 'cross.'  Crucifixion as torture usually means dying from exposure to the elements if at all, or from heat stroke, heart attacks, or something else.  As torture it was effective,  no one normally died from it, else just humiliation.   So, Jesus your Christ did not die on the cross.  So he was cut down and entombed, woke up later and walked out.  The Bible writers do not say this, as they are not Romans.  Undereducated Roman torturers do not know about heart beat pulses, nor care to see if the dead really are dead.   They take your word for it.  As did the Bible writers.
