Was Jesus (Christ) arrested for Tax Evasion?

(Matthew 22:21) “Render unto Caesar what is Caesars, and render unto God what is God’s.”
Jesus Christ was arrested and crucified between “2 Thieves,” probably because he didn’t pay taxes to Rome. Nowhere in the Bible does it say he paid taxes, but refused to do so when confronted, saying the above quote.
