Should the USA threaten to Default (i.e. Not Pay) on its Debts, do we let them?
Don't reward Corruption. By helping them prevent this you are rewarding political corruption.
Govt. overspends without a Budget. They should make one first at the start of the year, not at the time allowed (June 1) for a limit.
Govt. doesn't care how much the people are suffering from Over-taxation. They control social programs for political leverage in elections. The Default is bad for the President and his people, and the political parties (opposite him) want that to elect a non-democrat in office.
I already suggested editing the Gold Reserve Act of 1934 or repeal it in favor of gold and silver currencies, as trading this will increase the values of the metals and resell it to pay the $33Trillion of debt the Govt. has incurred over time. And reissue Gold and Silver Certificates as paper money.
