Information is a Drug!

Information is a Drug

Whatever you read has the same effect as a drug reaching the brain from inducing a pill.  If you read sad stories, every day for 1 year, you will become clinically depressed; or read the depressing news every day as well.  If you read the Bible daily then you will see things, like apparitions of Jesus or Angels or Saints or demons.  These are artificial hallucinogens.  If you read positive happy stories, you tend to be in a good mood.  If you read horror stories then a terrorist attack on television has no effect on your mood.

Escapism can take physical forms like real external chemicals and pills, or mental ones like stories, computer games, religion, or art.  Drugs are addicting, as are many story-based books – how many people go to Church or play online games?

If you want to really escape this reality try something new: Stop Taking Drugs!
