Anakin Skywalker is represented as Lucifer the Archangel (or Cherub in
Paradise Lost by John Milton), who
becomes Darth Vader / Satan the Devil. Luke
Skywalker is Jesus the Christ. Lucifer
was once Good, and turned to the Dark Side, like Anakin Skywalker. Luke is the son of Anakin, like Jesus is the
Son of God or embodiment of God, who
tries to change his Father back to Good.
The Force is the Powers of God.
Star Wars has an appeal as it relates to Monotheism. Superheroes
are today’s form of Polytheism. These ideas remain the same throughout
History. People don’t really change,
just their Technology.
